Stephen Curry Closes in on the Leaders in the MVP Race

In the most recent update of the season’s MVP race, Stephen Curry closed in on the leaders and is now fifth in the rankings.

In the list released by the NBA this Friday, Luka Doncic, in first, and Jayson Tatum, in second, remain in the top positions.

Now in the top 5, Curry was the player who has the most positions in the MVP race. That’s because in the last week, the star of the Golden State Warriors was in tenth place.

During this period, he averaged 26.3 points in the three games he played. However, the defending champion lost two matches with his main athlete on the court.

However, Curry is the second leading scorer of the current season with an average of 31.6 points per game, behind only Luka Doncic. No wonder, the Dallas Mavericks star is the leader for the 2022/23 MVP award for the second week in a row, averaging 34 points per night.

Likewise, the second-placed player is among the top scorers in the NBA today. Tatum is averaging 30.6 points per game over 18 games. On the other hand, the Celtics did not have a good week with two defeats in three games. The star, at least, did his part.

Tatum was the Celtics’ main player and had a great duel with Doncic last Wednesday. Against the Mavericks, the number 0 scored 37 points and averaged 28 in the last seven days. However, the MVP race remained in second place.

Closing the top 3, another novelty. Nikola Jokic , after all, took the position of Giannis Antetokounmpo and is the third best placed in the list for the best player of the season. Before, the Denver Nuggets star was fourth, but with overwhelming performances in his team’s last two commitments, he reached the podium.
