Online Poker – Bluffing Strategy to Play with Board Texture

Board texture is probably the most unique concept of Texas Hold’em online poker game. The hands which are possible and their frequencies are subject to community cards. A lot of small stake players know board textures in superficial and frivolous ways. The way it is seen that the board pairs make three-suited cards and full houses make high cards and a flush and they are much likely to hit hands as compared to low cards. The fact is that each of the flops is unique and each can offer diverse blend of hand changes. If you can know the distributions more often than rivals, you can find a lot of chances to bluff that can be missed by your competitors.

Keep Board Texture in Mind

Suppose we have clovers (8), Ace (diamonds), 3 spaces to 8 (clovers), K (diamonds), and 3 (spades). Suppose competitors play 40% of hands pre-flop, there are higher chances than what is correct theoretically, but it is common in a lot of live games. Your competitors with 40% range on A-8-3 flop will flop top pair or circa 30% better of the time. These numbers may support concept to make small bluffs on flop to go over small number of competitors.

Suppose you just have one competitor. By bluffing €30 on a pot of €80 on the flop, you assume that you may win circa 40% of time. On the other side, if you are called, it is not wrong to bluff €60 on €160 pot and you may win 40% of time.

In both of those bets, you can see virtually quick profit since you give away 2:1 odds to yourself when your contender may fold up to 33% of time to each bet. On the other side, if you have 3 to 4 opponents, the odds of one of the players is high a bit to get an ace.  By applying 32.5% odds of flopping better than top pair with three other players, one of the other players may have around 70% of ace of the time. You could bluff them on the flop.

The no-limit poker players of small stakes put strategies which can be exploited easily. You often don’t even need to look at your cards to beat them at different events. Most of the players may conduct some mistakes.

First off, they play a lot of hands pre-flop. The problem is when you play so many hands pre-flop. You end up with a lot of junk cards post-flop later. No matter what might come up, hands will always fold cards and bluff seems to be more tempting.

In addition, those players give a lot of credit to those bets. These stakes may be beneficial with any of the cards, there is no point giving too much credit to these bets. A lot of online poker players of small stakes put strategy which needs them to put flops hard with hands which are weak to make profit. This strategy basically doesn’t make sense.

In small stakes, you usually tell if it would be good to bluff a flop and turn just by looking at the texture of the board and number of competitors.
