Kyrie Irving Shocks and Demands a Trade from the Brooklyn Nets

Kyrie Irving on Friday has shocked and demanded a trade from the Brooklyn Nets according to The Athletic reporter Shams Charania.

Charania has believed that the point guard asked the negotiation until the next 9th, on the trade deadline or he will be a free agent at the end of the season.

However, even if the team decides not to continue further at the moment, it will be released for free in July.

While TNT reporter Chris Haynes has believed, there was no renewal agreement on Friday and, then, the athlete made a demand.

So far, the Nets board is running out of time to find a partner who can absorb Irving wage.

Irving, would have been the pivot of Kevin Durant’s demand last offseason. At the time, upon realizing that Brooklyn’s management would not extend his colleague’s contract, he asked to be traded on two occasions.

However, Joe Tsai, owner of the team, rejected several proposals until Durant decided not to leave.

“We were together regardless [of the controversies]. I think when we entered the training center we understood that, from a media point of view, the climate would depend a lot on us.” Irving said.

“All the fuss around our team depends on us. So I think that made us stronger when the season started.” Irving added.

The two started the current season with problems with the then coach, Steve Nash. Incidentally, Nash’s dismissal was one of the duo’s demands.

But after two wins in seven games, GM Sean Marks fulfilled their request and Jacque Vaughn took over. Since then, the Nets have won 29 games and lost 15.

The team reached second place in the East, but Durant suffered a knee injury in early January. As a result, Brooklyn lost seven of their next 11 matches.
