Betting Strategies for Blackjack in various scenarios

Online blackjack is well regarded for having best odds of winning for the players. Well winning is not guaranteed because inexperienced players have higher chances to lose in house rather than those who use time-tested techniques. Betting is one of the most overlooked aspects of online blackjack. Adapting betting strategies as the game levels up is the biggest challenge for new players. Every time you deal your hand, game changes. So you should have proper knowledge of strategies that work under certain circumstances when playing blackjack.

Progressive Betting

If you have had various amazing hands, you may have definitely raised your bet on another one. Even though it is a strategy used by many players, there is literally no science behind it. You may have superior strategy but it doesn’t mean every hand is about to be a winner. Betting the whole budget on one hand is never going to be a good idea.

So, let’s get this off the way and off the bat and avoid changing your hands on the basis of last outcomes. Some players use what is known as progressive betting strategy, which means they will either reduce or increase their bets after each hand of winning. There are many theories in both negative and positive progressive betting strategy. But the fact is that you could wind up with bad deal on another hand. Even though you have good system, it is not guaranteed that every single hand is a winner. It is very important to set a specific bet and double down later if everything goes well.

Soft 17

This hand consists of a six and an ace. A lot of people should know that they must always hit on the hand as they don’t need to worry on going over. If you are dealt five card and you need to start again from 12, there is nothing more badly than this scenario. Most people don’t change their bet. As you have very high chance of winning on soft 17, it is generally wise to double down to increase your winnings.

Hard 17

This type of hand adds up to 17 without ace. If you hit with this hand, there are 69% chances of getting above 21. In this case, it is your safest bet to hold.

Dealer has Ace

Keep in mind you should never double down if dealer comes with ace card up. The chances are high for the dealer to win an ace on table, even with a hand you are playing currently.
