Slow playing is a well-known strategy in Texas Holden Poker which can literally boost your money and increase your winning amount. In slow playing, you can simply call or check a solid hand on a betting round to win more money and big bets in later stages of betting round.
It is always wise to slow play in case of very solid hand and if you feel that your rival may fold when you make another bet. You also need to allow them to see free card which is not too risky to see. Your opponent may get better hand and call next bet by allowing them to see another card. It is the right time to jump in.

When free card can beat your hand – It is never wise to allow your opponent to see free card if it can help their hand and beat your hands. There are different hands which are locked when flop comes.
In case there is big pot – Even though you would like to win big pot, so do your rivals. In big pots, the main issue of slow playing are a straight or flush. It is also risky enough to slow play as free card can give a good chance to your opponent. If you have small pot, you can take a risk as there is not much to lose in long term.
If you get a free card – Especially when it could give a solid second best hand to your opponent, betting is another best option when there is not much action with a free card. It usually takes place when either a King or Ace is available on the flop as there are not so many cards left which could give great second hand to your opponent.
When many players are still playing hand – If a lot of players are playing around, the pot can be big enough and riskier to let other rivals to see free card. When a lot of players are playing, you can have great action when flop comes off.
