There are many players in online poker who think by mistake that just because they are at the computer screen, they have the right to act as they like and to be harsh. Well, it is not the case and there are different considerations for each player to know about before starting the game at the poker table.
Here are the do’s and don’ts at online poker table
Don’t criticize other players
It seems a no brainer but no one likes bullying. If player makes a bad move, don’t criticize them. The player needs some knowhow from the person who can point out their mistakes. Even though you are offended with their actions, you shouldn’t abuse them. This behavior won’t let you recover your losses. It will push him to better himself. An online poker table must be friendly and fun.
Don’t advice the player
Don’t ever talk about the hand of other poker player or advice on a hand of another player. If you do it, you will drop hints on what you have and other players would read in your actions. You shouldn’t mistake it for table talk or influence the decision.
No profanities in online poker discussions
It might be common but being abusive or criticizing other players is not cool. You will let someone down and they also quit the table. You might also vex or tilt yourself to the time you start losing.
Don’t give any hints of your hands you fold
Let’s keep it in mind. Suppose you are raising pre-flop with Ace 5 on button and another player raises you again while another player makes a call and you choose to fold. If flop comes down on Ace 5-5 which would give strong hand, don’t talk about it. A hand has been completed only once when you can discuss your poker hand. You need to do this before the hand is ended and can influence the way a hand is played and can cause unfair game.
Don’t stall the game
Don’t take too long to act, especially when playing basic pre-flop actions. Take your time for your vital after-flop decisions but never take too long than important when making important poker decisions. Slowing down the game of poker can be annoying for players who are involved. But players might leave the game if game goes too slow.
If you feel that you have best hand and feel that you need to call the bet of your opponent, make it happen whenever you make your decision.
