Proposals for Lawful Casinos in Thailand
Two prominent NRC Group members have reiterated that the plan for reviving casinos was already being backed by a dozen of NRC stuffs along with their supports also.
Previous Thai government did propose to grant the investors with their development plans for complexes with entertainment & betting facilities. However, it had to face tough internal disagreement.
Referring themselves a significant faction of “NRC members who love Thailand”, they made it very clear that a official suggestion would be submitted to the government as well.
Arnun Watcharothai, the member of the NRC Group said that their faction was conscious of ineffective efforts which were given before in seeking the permission of the government for such destinations of entertainment. The members had firm thought considerable economic spin offs could be possible with the initiative for this fresh proposal. As far as the choice of Bangkok is concerned to drag the attention of global tourists & foreign investors every year, the advantages of entertainment & casino setup should be taken as a mean of latest magnetism to enhance tourism revenues.
Even he had not missed to point out that 22 casino facilities are already there in the bordering countries. There are prepared with plans to set up in coming three or four years. Apart from it, he added that adjacent regions in countries such as Cambodia would turn out to be new betting enticement which is akin to Las Vegas in the United State.
Arnun clarified that as much as 80% of the punters in these regions were Thais. Therefore, it is reported that the legalization of casinos & related betting would block the outflow of foreign exchange from the country.
In such a stage, Pattaya in Chon Buri province is amongst the most appropriate places for the administration so far to review casino operations in the safest way.

The proposal of NRC’s casino-revival plan is meant for the government. However, it should be so that greater part of council members is going to vote for it. As a matter of fact, this proposal could be reality if positive decision is being taken by Cabinet & military’s ruling National Council for Peace and Order. One of the members told that the permission for the establishment of casino complexes is not a bad thought.
