Malcolm Brogdon Reveals His Departure from the Indiana Pacers

Malcolm Brogdon finally spoke about the reasons that led to his departure from the Indiana Pacers to Boston Celtics after a long period without commentimg on the issue.

According to Brogdon, the project did not take the expected course. That’s why the Indiana franchise decided to rejuvenate the cast, something he didn’t see as ideal for his future.

Brogdon’s departure from the Pacers to the Celtics caused a change in both rosters and his role within the league.

In other words, the 29-year-old point guard went from being the star of a club that didn’t even make the playoffs to a supporting role on the Eastern Conference champion team last season.

“First of all, I am very grateful for everything I had there. I think it all started when we tried to rebuild the team last season.” Brogdon said.

“The Pacers did me really well. They gave me the option to pick between a few teams and I picked Boston because I want to win.” Brogdon added.

The Celtics will get a better feel of how Smart and Brogdon will play together when they start their season against the Philadelphia 76ers on opening night.

Despite not having fully adapted to the new team, Brogdon has admitted that he is becoming more at comfortable. Furthermore, he made clear that it takes time to adapt to a new role.

“This franchise is a whole new level, if I can be completely honest. In other words, they compete for the championship.” Brogdon said.

“So of course we will have more players to drive the ball. Guys who have more skill and strength. But I have enjoyed playing with them as they make the game so much easier for a guy like me.” he added.
