The Philadelphia 76ers coach Doc Rivers has expressed his opinions about LeBron James and Michael Jordan
Rivers admitted LeBron has a better career than Jordan. However, the basketball legend is even bigger.
“I think James will have the greatest career of all time. I think he’s already reached that level.” Rivers said.
“However, I believe Michael [Jordan] is the greatest of all time. But that doesn’t take anything away from LeBron. It’s no demerit to say that. After all, he had the best career,” Rivers added.
The dispute between LeBron and Jordan to see who is the best is one of the most interesting.
While one has better numbers, the other won more individual and collective awards. And because they never acted at the same time, comparisons are divided.
But when we take the titles of the former Chicago Bulls star, James is a little behind. After all, Jordan won six titles, while the Lakers ace accumulates four.
Jordan also has an advantage in Finals MVPs. The NBA idol has won the award six times. LeBron, four. Plus there’s an extra MVP award. The iconic number 23 shirt was voted best in the league for five seasons. LeBron, meanwhile, took it in four years.
On the other hand, number 6 has higher averages compared to Jordan. Despite having fewer career average points, the Lakers number 6 has an advantage in all other aspects. He also balances the points average with the total number in his career.
After all, LeBron overcame another big mark in the last match against the Philadelphia 76ers. Already the second highest scorer in NBA history, the veteran broke the 38,000-point mark. That leaves him just 364 short of beating another historic league name: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
