Davide Tardozzi Leads Ducati Team Through a New MotoGP Lineup of Francesco Bagnaia and Marc Marquez

As team manager Davide Tardozzi leads Ducati into MotoGP’s latest chapter with former champion Francesco Bagnaia and Marc Marquez.

Team relationships may suffer because Ducati Team Management added two MotoGP champions in one garage.

Since Bagnaia worked for years at Ducati and helped make it successful the team must now change as Marquez has been new to factory since joining.

“I will not change my approach because in the end it’s much easier to work with champions than with young kids. I knew Marc very well in those [early] days,” Tardozzi said.

“I think that it will be very easy [to manage them]. What supports my opinion is the respect they see between them.

“They speak a lot, they are working together, they are working together to try to improve the bike. I think it will be very easy to work with them.” Tardozzi added.

Both Marquez and Bagnaia lead the Ducati challenge this year with Fabio di Giannantonio joining them aboard the GP25 at VR46.

According to Tardozzi Ducati will give identical treatment to all its riders starting the MotoGP 2025.

“I think supporting the riders is not a problem for us. As usual we did in the past we will support both riders, their needs and we have the power to do it.” Tardozzi said.

“We will support those two champions, not only two riders [but two champions], and we are proud to have them.” he added.

After his year at Gresini Racing Marquez will return to a factory team where his input will help shape the new GP25 model.

Ducati general manager Gigi Dall’Igna however has admitted that he will be more than happy to help both Marquez and Bagnaia if they wish to take a different route with the bike this season.
