As far as the involvement of Singaporean & Turkish nationals are concerned, two separate cases have been registered against them. Verdicts of three months to twelve months jail have been against them by State Courts today.
According to the first case, a national from Singapore namely Chua Lai Huat, 66 was being given total of 12 month’s jail term to plot with three other RWS croupiers in cheating the casino of S$12,915. That is why; the court had come out with the hearing that Chua made friends with a croupier Zhang Zhijiu in the month of May of this year & expressed suggestion that the dealer winked at him the final card in the deck in order to get him unjust facility in the game. In response, Chua assured Zhang 20 percent as a remuneration of the winnings of the day.
After at least one month, Chua inquired Zhang of some recommendations of colleagues with who he could conspire with. Zhang went on introducing his roommate Sun Shihong. On multiple instances in the month of June & July of this year at Resorts World Sentosa’s Three Card Poker tables, Zhang made no mistakes in flashing the last card in the deck to Chua. Footages with respect to surveillance had displayed that Sun along with other croupier Choo Hui Yong did in the exact way for Chua.
Additionally, Chua made the Ace & King cards known in time of the Poker game. He deceitfully either bent the edges of the cards or utilized an ad hoc rheumatism plaster which had been pasted by him on his to make impressions on them. It was all about to help him make more up to date judgment on whether to fold his hand. Being sentenced on Sept 16, Zhang and Choo had gone to serve for eight & four months at jail. However, Sun remained at liberty.
Chua’s legal representative revealed at the court that his client lost money huge money at the casino in this respect. However, there is a case of Turkish nationals who swindled money of S$6,075 at RWS’ casino. They skillfully did it within 30 minutes. However, they were ordered to serve for 12 weeks & six months in jail. The court distinctly heard that Suleyman Arik, aged 31 & Mehmet Mersin, aged 52 plotted the scheme very well to deceive at the casino before arriving in Singapore.
Even at the three Card Poker tables, they involved a couple namely Firat Teymur, 25 and Asiye Cakmak, 24 for their ploy.
On the 23rd August Cakmak made the dealer occupied in a chat to let Arik & Mersin get the facility of exchanging their cards under the table. Teymur’s role was not far behind in safeguarding the unlawful card swapping from other benefactors.
